Project HIP Brochure
Project HIP is an outreach effort designed to provide counseling and
health care services for African Americans and Africans who know or suspect they are HIV positive.
Project HIP needed two brochures: one for distribution
to various community organizations; and another brochure for
individuals. Both brochures
shared the same exterior cover.
The brochure for community organizations was
designed to confront stigmatization by highlighting facts about HIV in
the community, and to reduce fear by explaining the confidential and
comprehensive services offered by Project HIP.
The brochure for individuals was written
to address the fear of getting tested or living with HIV. The brochure
clearly communicates the benefits of contacting Project HIP: no cost,
privacy, and convenient, comprehensive services. A fear-reducing message of hope
is reinforced: "with the right help, people living with HIV can lead long,
healthy, happy lives." |
